My life in music...

Wow.
I think it's amazing how God brings us through different stages in life. A few years ago, I decided to step out and pursue my purpose -- My passion.

My purpose is centered around young women and helping them cultivate THEIR purpose, knowing that it can only come from the one who made them. God!

The first moment I heard this song...I thought she pulled the words from my journal. It described my life completely. To see such a young woman passionate for Christ, and walking in her purpose brings tears to my eyes. I see so much of myself in her.

So, in efforts to update you on my life, I will share this song. In this moment, like every moment, I am simply saying, "You lead, I'll follow. Your hands hold my tomorrow."

Passionate about my purpose,
Morgan

...:::Taking it Back to the OLD SCHOOL:::...

Why: Just Because
Song: So Good, by Melinda Watts

So, I promised a few months ago that I would blog more…so here I am! I will be brief and just give a little update of what I’ve been up to.

As of August of this year (2011), I started graduate school!!!! I am pursuing a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Wow. Let me be honest. I have studied MORE in this short time than my WHOLE undergraduate career. Graduate school is NO JOKE! Taking my first course has been very challenging but also rewarding.

I’ve always known that I wanted to help people—period. After publishing “The Growing Seed”, I have been blessed to travel and meet so many amazing young women and their families. After hearing their stories and sharing mine, I decided to go one step further. I don’t want to be that person simply offering my personal thoughts and opinions. I want to be able to serve and motivate with the aid of therapeutic tools (that I am learning now!) Along with the leading of the Holy Spirit, I pray that I am able to used to empower people in an even greater way.

I am learning, changing, improving and LIVING.

I am the GROWING SEED!

This year alone has served as a LEARNING EXPERIENCE. I have fallen, scraped my knees, dusted them off and kept it moving. I am ready to bring you on this journey with me—again!
It’s been so long since I’ve written from a personal standpoint (publicly) since my book was published. I think it’s about that time again. I won’t get to deep now, just know, it’s coming.

Sooooo, STAY TUNED!

Breaking Chains,
Morgan Rae

Update Much? *SHAME on Me!*

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

Has it really been nearly a year since I've posted my last blog entry? My apologies to all who are following this or happen to stop by from time to time. SO much has been going on in this life of mine. I truly am a growing seed. I must admit, the watering phase has passed, and my roots have been busy digging in, preparing to "Break the Surface" if you will.

I just graduated from UH this May with my Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Business Management. As a child of the digital/tech/twitter/Facebook/Social Media Revolution, I must admit...I'm a bit rebellious. We thrive on up-to-date material. In this season, continuous updates from me on ANY social media site has been difficult. BUT! I promise to do this more often.

As far as my book, "The Growing Seed," we are working on an E-book plus more fun interactive stuff!!!! The all-time FAVORITE question people like to ask grads (and their WORST question to be asked) is...."So what are you doing now?" LOL.... I have been blessed with a full-time job for the past 4 years, and am currently working (there.) In the meantime, I am working to grow my business and continue building this foundation that God has given me.

I won't keep rambling on, but felt the need to fill you in a bit. Until my next post, take a look at some of my grad pics taken by the world famous :) J.Vince of J.Vince Photography.

Now you may be asking?

*What can "The Growing Seed" do for me?-- LADIES, Listen up!*

The Growing Seed is unique because of its candid and transparent contents. The memoir is composed of Morgan's un-
edited diary entries that were later narrated. This was done in order to show the metamorphosis that took place in her life once she accepted Jesus Christ (got saved.)

She began writing at the age of 12, wrote the book by 20, and published it by 21. She managed to keep every note and journal written through the years. Morgan later found that her journals vividly depicted the highs and lows of a young woman choosing to follow the straight and narrow path in today's society, even though it was very unpopular. The purpose of the book is to expose the benefits and wholeness that result from a relationship with God. It is different because it is the true account of her hopelessness morphed into victory.

The memoir ends with her last entry before college, and leaves the reader waiting for a host of new experiences. (The Growing Seed: Volume II) The Growing Seed serves as an example and testimony for young woman around the world. Morgan chose to publish her most private thoughts (through her own diary) in order to help other women find THEIR purpose. How? By allowingthem to see her own purpose unfold with each turn of a page.

The Growing Seed will debunk the premarital sex myth ( every one is doing it), help young women find their voice, push them to fearlessly pursue their goals, passions, and most of all PURPOSE!
